Over time, the factory thermal interface begins to dry out and lose its properties, which greatly affects the temperature regime of the stone. There are three options in this case: 1) Reset overclocking, partially or completely, thereby losing performance. 2) Change CO for top airs (Noctua NH-D14 \ 15, Thermalright Silver Arrow and the like) or good water, thereby spending a decent amount of money. 3) Decide to scalp the processor and replace the standard thermal interface with solder (liquid metal), thereby greatly risking ruining the stone. I chose the last option. The operation was successful, the patient is alive and well. In overclocking to 4.7 GHz on an average tower cooler as a CO, the temperature under Linpak for warming up does not exceed 72 degrees (previously it reached 95). In total, changing the standard thermal interface gave a gain of 23 (!) degrees.
