I love the pretty colors and the flexible nature of the silicone lids--so much better than stiff plastic. However, because these are so pliable, they can come off easily, too. They fit nicely on a variety of can sizes--so no more half-on lids. The spoons should work well with gooey pet foods or chunky-gravy type foods, but with stiff pates, the food sticks in the crease of the spoon and handle and is a pain to get out. Using these spoons with stiff pate is like using a melon-baller, so my dogs get bite-sized servings instead of huge slices, which means they don't inhale the wet food so fast. The "corner" of the spoon is nice for getting food out of the can when it's time to scrape it empty.
