Good switch for a fan.

I purchased this to control two Hampton Bay fans model #26829 and it only works at high speed. Medium spins the fans to slow them down. At low speed, he doesn't even turn them on. Apparently not enough amps for 2.5 amps. The grip feels like it takes too much force to move it between speeds. Maybe it will loosen up after frequent use or not.
