It looks like one of those products that you either love or hate because it either works or it doesn't. In this case it works. On the plus side it was cheap compared to what I would have paid locally and I can't even imagine how much a plumber would have cost. It is not easy. Simply pull out the shell, pull out the old part and replace. Pay attention to how it tanks, but you still get a chance to look the other side as well. The quality appears to be comparable to the original Kenmore part. One of those simple projects that makes clumsy people like me feel good.
