We bought these to replace some standard fluorescent fixtures in an exam room. I've wired lights before and I was able to wire these, but the dimmer switch is the problem. The lights did not come with any instructions or documentation. If you're a professional, maybe this isn't an issue. I'm not. The lights installed in a couple of hours. I would not recommend this installation for someone who does not have some electrical experience. I wish I had paid for revain to install them.The lights work well. The color is both very bright, cool, and white. It is not a "warm" light. If not for the lack of instructions and troublesome dimmer installation requirements, I would have probably given just the lights a 4 or 5 star review.After calling their support, I was able to figure out what was wrong. To install the dimmer switch, you need a 0-10v dimmer switch (which I had). You'll need to run a gray and a violet wire to the light (making it 5 wires rather than the normal 3). The violet wire runs to the DIM + port and the gray one runs to the DIM - port. Apparently the wire gauge needs to only be 18 gauge as it is low voltage. The extra wiring is where things went wrong. I haven't installed the extra wires yet so.BTW, the support wasn't the best support I'd ever had but I've had much worse too. He seemed bored and distracted by my questions. He did get me what I hope are the answers, so I won't complain too much.While this was a bit of a test for converting the entire business to these panels, we determined that it was just easier to replace working fluorescent lights (which do not need to be dimmed) with LED replacement bulbs like the ones from Costco. The few fluorescent fixtures that had ballasts fail had the ballasts replaced with the lights that were already replaced. If additional dimmable lights are needed, we'll try another brand.
