Review on ๐Ÿพ Lifeunion Adjustable Service Dog Backpack for Camping, Hiking, and Training - Supply Saddle Bag by Tara Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It broke on first use. And he wouldn't stay.

I was VERY excited about this backpack. We hike a lot and I decided it was time for my dog to carry his own weight! The plastic clips on it broke when I took it out of the box! Before I EVER put it on my dog! It was two days before our trip so I didn't have time to return it and get a new one. I'm giving it three stars because even with TWO broken clamps it worked pretty well. . The backpack itself is durable, but depending on the size of your dog, the pockets can't hold much. I was able to attach two very small water bottles to it on each side. Nothing more. The bag was packed 100% precisely. (two IDENTICAL water bottles on each side.) and he kept flopping to one side. I would fix it and it would flop to the other side. The climbs and descents were definitely uncomfortable for my little guy as the backpack kept slipping. A plus: it was very light and he didn't seem to overheat with it. So it was good! However, if you're spending close to $30 on this backpack, I highly recommend checking out the $47 Kurgo Baxter. I received the Kurgo package after returning from this community. We've taken it on a few hikes and it doesn't slip at all. It's much more adjustable, just as breathable and lightweight, and seems a lot more comfortable for my dog. It also lasts MUCH longer.
