This product didn't suit me at all. dr Tim's ammonia to give the bacteria something to work with. After 10 days the ammonia level is still exactly the same as when I added it along with zero nitrite. After about 15 days, ammonia levels began to fall and nitrite levels to rise. , but that was because the natural cycle had nothing to do with Dr. Tim has to do. Same result in both 20 gallon tanks. dr Tim wrote about this and they said it wouldn't work in a bare bottom quarantine tank but they were nice enough. send another bottle (I have nothing against Dr. Tim's as a company, just this product). I took the second 8 ounce bottle they sent me and put it all in a newly opened 90 gallon live sand and dry rock reef tank. I also add some pure ammonia but in a smaller amount. Again 10 days later and the ammonia is unchanged and the nitrite is 0. I thought I might have gotten a bad batch of the stuff, but trying a second bottle with the same results leads me to believe it's not working.
