This device works well with the new MacBook Pro (Late 2016) AFTER the appropriate drivers are installed. It doesn't show up at all until the drivers are installed. The most important thing for me was that the gigabit port could transfer true 1Gb/s after encountering a rather unreliable USB to Ethernet adapter. I will obviously say that this device is a standard 3.0 controller chip that only has a USB-C cable at the end instead of USB-A. That's not a problem, you just have to know. It does NOT charge the host device it is connected to, but has never announced it will. Also, only 3.0 amps are available from the ports, so devices won't charge nearly as fast as if they were plugged directly into a USB-C port that can provide 3 amps to a client device. There are no lags with this device and it works great as long as the user knows what to expect from this device.
