Like many of the parts I have repaired on my aging Honda Element, they were the hardest to get to. It was probably one of PITA's greatest works. If the sensor were available it would take less than 5 minutes but it doesn't. You can reach it from the bottom of the element, it's deep there. You'll need a 1-1/16" open-end wrench, the thinner the better. All you have to do is unscrew it and you can unscrew it with your finger. The sensor connector is a bit stiff. But other reviewers have provided some helpful pictures to show this visualize. It's a good thing to clean the cable connector pins before reinstalling. Difficult to find just the right position to put your hand up and get started. I wrapped some painters around the plastic terminal to give it some extra support and length to give to manipulate it there. Look at it, visualize it, then close your eyes and feel it. If I had thought of this sensor a few years ago when changing the starter motor, I would have changed it as preventative maintenance back then. When I did this job i went in from the top and pulled out the distributor, again it took me longer to get the part and then the part actually changed. As for this brand, I have used other parts from them in the past with good results. It was about a third the cost of the original Honda, and there were other brands that were even cheaper, too cheap I think. The Beck Arnley stuff also seems to get good reviews on Revain and other auto parts sites.
