I bought this camera because I needed more features than Nikon and wanted to keep the price in a reasonable point and shoot range. However, the biggest advantage is that you can attach a fairly good lens and flash system (Micro 4/3rds lenses and Olympus remote flashes) and still have a camera that is easy to transport. This is a really compact system. I can fit the equivalent of a 100mm macro, a 28-80mm zoom, a 100-300mm zoom and a 90mm prime, two flashes and various accessories in a small, under 5 pound messenger bag transport. Pros: Fantastic shots with the included lens kit. Very flexible, many configuration options. If you want to upgrade, you can also just buy a new body and keep all your old lenses. Cons: Compared to the latest generation of mirrorless cameras, the sensor starts to get noisy above ISO800 and consumer lenses are a bit slower. . Additionally, the latest mirrorless cameras are around 16MP, which is significantly more than the 12MP on this camera. For the price, however, it's hard to beat.
