In general, its pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.
I compared it with the existing Zenitar 50 / 1.2 (at the same aperture values), but I wanted a light and simple replacement lens. Well, itโs like a toy - yes, but you canโt expect anything serious from this Canon lens. Under ideal conditions, it can still give an acceptable result, but mostly a wild mess due to optical problems. Even TTartisans on mirrorless systems show better results.
Pros
- Sharpness if hit.
Cons
- - autofocus misses; - there would still be a sane manual, but this is stupid engine control with delays, torment in one word; - in more difficult conditions, the picture simply crumbles from aberrations (contrasting scenes); - it is necessary to protect from arbitrary pressing on the "trunk". A hood or something else to avoid damage. On Aliexpress, even a gear repair kit is sold - apparently they break often.
