Review on Magnavox DP170MS8 HDMI DVD Player: Unleashing High-Definition Entertainment by Joseph Harkins

Wish these reviews were here when I first considered buying this junk from Sam. I bought it to use my new TV's HDMI inputs and improve the quality of my existing DVDs. The HDMI output only worked once in about 30-40 attempts, the remote control is awful and the device is often unresponsive. I had to unplug and plug the device back in twice to eventually get my DVD back (device stuck). I finally got through to customer service and after describing the problem the guy immediately told me to return it. You are obviously aware of the problem. The replacement block (I really wanted this to work) all had the same issues. This is a bum DVD player and not worth the $50 price tag. Sam should stop selling it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE GOODS TO BE RETURNED!
