Review on πŸ” SecureLock Clamp Bracket for Enhanced OnGuard Protection by Sean Garrison

If you drive regularly, don't waste your time and money.

They will block your bike for a while. The clamping mechanism makes it one of the easiest bindings in terms of attaching and detaching the lock to the bike. As long as it doesn't break, it's fun to use. My first one (which came with the bike) broke on the part that attaches it to the bike frame. It was visibly damaged and a little wobbly, but I was actually able to use it half broken and paired with a leg strap for months before it fell apart completely. I ended up buying another one to replace, thinking maybe I just overtightened it. The clamp is in two pieces with screws on both sides to attach it to the bike frame. That went on for about a year. I didn't tighten the second very carefully so that it wouldn't tear in the same place as the first. This meant that over time the plastic loosened up and moved back and forth with moderate coaxing (basically every time the lock is removed) so quite a bit of paint has come off of it at this stage. I could have tried to retighten it but the bracket holding the lock in place broke first. This lasted about six months before the strut holding the lock broke off the side. I've been using the third brace for about three months now and it broke in the same place as the second. A little superglue helped get me to and from work while waiting for the new mount to arrive, but this time it was a different brand. The plastic in this design just isn't built to withstand the rigors of normal driving.
