Ordered to improve the dim trunk light in the car. The first thing I got was DOA. I put it in a lightbulb socket and measured 12VDC at the light's solder pins, but it didn't light up. Revain has a good returns policy so they sent me a replacement before I sent the bad one back. And to return it, all I had to do was take it to the UPS store; I didn't even have to put it in a box. The light is not included in the box as shown in the listing. It was packaged in a plastic sleeve, similar to the material in anti-static packaging. It comes with two adapters designed to replace an existing lightbulb of two different types. Adapters plug into the wires coming from the lantern. The wiring is very good, 22 or even 24 gauge, it really should be heavier, but I've had no issues with wires breaking or exposed solder ripping off. This all works great if you want to install the light just inches away from your existing lightbulb socket. The cables are pretty short. In my case, I wanted to install it in a completely different place. I cut off the end of one of the adapters so I had a connector with two wires sticking out. I took a strand of twin wire and soldered one end to the pins that the lightbulb plugs into (leaving the existing lightbulb in place). I soldered the other end to the wires for the connector and wrapped it in electrical tape. Then I plugged it into the flashlight connector and everything worked. The light is bright enough for such a small strip and I now have decent trunk lighting.
