The color is what I expected and it turned out. The material that goes over the box spring can easily break, so I'm a bit careful if you have to pull on it. What worries me is that mine arrived very crumpled. So I went ahead and machine washed it on a hand/super gentle cycle and put it in the dryer on a gentle cycle. I even used 2 of those balls of yarn in the dryer. So actually it can be machine washed that way. However, the thing still has many deep wrinkles. At least the worst is not visible. Yes, I could try to pet it, but I didn't feel it. So the creases don't look too good because I didn't bother to iron, which shouldn't have been necessary to begin with. I even sprayed some fluffy anti-wrinkle spray on it. So I put it on the box spring anyway when I flipped the mattress, but what a chore. I have one of those foldable box springs which is a metal frame with fabric stretched around it so I can't securely fasten or staple it before swapping out the mattress (sorry I forgot that). As a result, I've been pinning, pulling, and adjusting quite a bit. I won't be using any of these again in my life unless I get a proper spring block in the future. Hopefully you get one that isn't so badly crumpled that you have to pull out your ironing board if you have one.
