Installed fairly quickly, no leaks.

I received this kit for ducting around my garage and sometime in my basement. If I didn't bother with the basement, I'm sure 1/2 inch would be fine, but that would be a long time, so I went with a larger diameter. NM-B cable, but compared to running conduit, I thought it was pretty easy. I'm also not super OCD about making the line super straight, but with careful unrolling and straightening you can get it pretty good. It took me two evenings of a few hours to get everything started, mainly because the parts had to be hoisted up into the attic. I have followed the advice to use PTFE tape and pipe sealant on all NPT fittings, I have absolutely no leaks, I checked the system at 140psi and shut off the feed and even after a day the pressure remained stable. To attach my couplers to the outlets, I purchased 3 1/2"-1/4" brass grommets here on Amazon for $2 each. Too bad this set doesn't fit. come with 45 degree outlet elbows same as the 1/2" kit. It would be better if the bushings didn't stick out straight. I also purchased a separate 1/2" Maxline fitting (M8005) as the fitting included is 3/4" for compressor ports and my regulator has 1/2" ports. The only reason I took the sprocket off was because the clamp bolts didn't seem to tighten very easily. The instructions say they should be hand tightened and then tightened an additional 3/4 turn. There was no way I could go that far in. and even after i oiled the threads they were still a pain to tighten. As I said there are absolutely no leaks so maybe they just don't need to be tightened as much as the instructions say.
