It's about 5x brighter than the old fluorescent lamp, promises to last longer.
Used it to replace the closet fluorescent light, which died so frequently I gave up replacing the tube. Installation was easy, as I was able to use existing holes for the screws, and once the base was in place, just clipped on the light box. Being all plastic, it's so much lighter than the old fixture with its huge metal base plate. That helped with the installation as well. It's so much brighter than the fluorescent light at a lower wattage. Very pleased with this purchase.
