Review on 16-Inch Shower Arm Extension Extender - KES Stainless Steel Matte Black PSAN4-BK With Flange by Jacob Brasic

You will utterly regret it. Do not buy!

Those delightful brass threads sticking out of the end of this arm are NOT part of the arm but are in fact part of a male/male adapter thing (I don't know the official terms, I'm not a plumber). That adapter thing will become embedded in your shower pipe, for all eternity, should you ever decide to remove the arm. Instead of unscrewing from the pipe, it will unscrew from the arm. There is no earthy way to grip the thing in order to twist it free from the pipe. If that isn't enough, the portion of this thing that was in the shower arm (now protruding from your shower pipe and openly mocking you) is an extremely unusual size. So you can't just simply add another adapter that covnerts it back to the standard female size and screw your new shower arm into it. It's been 2 days of trying everything under the sun to remove this regrettable brassy curse, plus 12 separate trips to the hardware store to purchase every manner of puller, twister, nipple remover, encapsulateor, drill bit, adaptor, and thread glue. I'm just going to put the house up for sale and be done with it.

Pros
  • works great with the rain shower head
Cons
  • The matte black finish may chip or scratch easily
