Weak fixtures for house numbers, signs and signs

I bought one of these, installed it and was amazed at how good it looked. After 2 days it was on the floor, the broken hinges still screwed to the mailbox post. I don't know what happened, I suspect it was hit by a dog. I wrote it off as an accident and since I couldn't find any replacement brackets I bought another full block. Reinstalled, surprised again, and then picked up off the ground about a week later. 2 hits are enough for me, 3 won't work. Too bad it's weak, because with a short lifespan it looks good.
