I installed the GE system myself and found it not difficult but if you are new to plumbing check out the installation video including the drain line and supply line should be difficult to install, and changing the filter is quite difficult, especially if you don't lubricate the o-ring because it will cause water pollution. Pretty good system but GE only supplies a poppet valve instead of a traditional valve and you have to drill a hole in the water line which is outdated and risky. Buy yourself a valve like the one I drew and you'll be all set for this project. Many Thanks.
