I have to give 3 stars. I'm torn at this moment. Now the light is as bright as it needs to be for my use. But as others have said, super thin wire is 30 ga at best. If you wish to use wipers, special wipers must be ordered. I simply lit them and removed the heated insulation. Then I decided to cast 3 lamps together, add some shrink tubing with glue and leave the tinned area open. Then I very carefully tinned them onto a piece of 16ga wire. Place a piece of heat shrink tubing back onto the 16ga as well as another piece of heat shrink tubing. After doing this with the ground wire, I also decided to add another adhesive-backed heat shrink tubing that would shrink the already protected floor and heat it together for even more strength. I've never worked with wires that thin, not even in laptops. Hopefully the shrink tubing will hold the wires together for a while. I will not buy again. I think they should last a while but next time I'll check the gauge of the wire before ordering. If I can't get a minimum of 22 ga, preferably 18 ga min, I won't buy. So be careful. If you have fat fingers or have trouble working with very small objects, this will be difficult for you. Now I have confirmed that the wire is 26ga. It will also run at 28 ga for these wires, but 26 ga would be correct. I had time to look for and buy a new stripping tool. I bought a Kline 11057 stripper from Revain. This tool strips those wires well and costs $20. As said, 26ga is the right size. I stripped the remaining wire a few times just for practice, next time I'll cut that wire. Be careful when using the tool. There are two rows of numbers, solid and stranded. You must follow the beach scale listed above. These strippers go up to 32ga. I can only imagine how small it is when these wires are 26 ga.
