I'm new to wet-on-wet style but bought Bob Ross' master set and all the other paints he uses so I can go along with paint in my videos - well, some of the kits and the ones I bought are VERY thick and not "nice and hard" as Bob puts it, they should be in his videos - my first few tries got me a "dirt mixer" - I found that if I first squeeze the right amount of oil onto paper towels or a piece of cardboard, leave it for 20-30 minutes and soak it in some oil, it works much better and is easier to use appear, but were designed and marketed as a Bob Ross color, I feel I don't need to tamper with them to make them work properly.
