Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Michal Wasowicz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

Around the end of August, I made the purchase of KIT 18-105. As of right now, I don't shoot very often, and when I do, it's almost always in automatic mode because I don't have time to deal with this situation. Prior to that, I used a Pentax k-x for a month. It has a very convenient quick setup in manual mode, but the auto mode only produces so-so results. In general, I like the camera, and surprisingly, it takes good pictures when it's set to auto mode, although this is not the situation in which it should be used. In the automatic mode, the ISO is increased as far as it can; during the day, with a little cloudiness, it can set between 800 and 1600. Whale glass 18-105 is not terrible, however it is on the cloudy side. with this lens due to the fact that initially I did not want to spend any money on optics. The volumes of photo and video are not tiny, so it is recommended that you purchase a card with the maximum capacity, which is either 32 or 64 GB. The camera received a lower rating as a result of the drawbacks that I mentioned in the previous sentence. Why other cameras have an ISO button but this one does not is completely beyond my comprehension. First comes the laborious process of choosing a lens, followed by the selection of a body and its subsequent purchase. This is the formula I gradually deduce for buying a DSLR camera.

Pros
  • Working with a high ISO.
Cons
  • -There is no shortcut key for changing the ISO. -When changing modes, the mode names are not displayed; only A R M, etc. -While in Live view mode, autofocus moves at a glacial pace, making it impossible to delete a child. -You are able to use the flash even when the weather is bright if you are using the auto mode.
