I have an old Porter Cable 333VS random orbit sander that has been sitting in a drawer for about 10 years. The main bearing seized and blew it off to be replaced but never got around to ordering parts again. But when I had a job that suddenly required it, I decided to see if a small amount of TriFlow grease could thaw a stuck bearing, and thank goodness it worked! Humpty Dumpty reassembled and launched. The old backing pad began to deteriorate over the years and literally shattered into pieces when the engine started. I figured they stopped making replacement pads for this old grinder, otherwise I'd have to settle for another brand that might be of poor quality or not a perfect fit. I was surprised that the very pad that came with the grinder was still available at a reasonable price. It fits just like the original and has breathed a whole new life into a 12 year old grinder :-).
