It works as I expected.
After reading other reviews I agree with the rest. It has a cheap plastic case and is a bit small. My college roommate had a Vue meter on his stereo back in the 70's, but in a nice wooden case and with much larger meters for only $25. However, this meter still does the job at a decent price and looks good. Maybe I can hide the cheap case by stacking my components a little differently.
