This bottle is made from a hard clear plastic (50% post consumer). You don't squeeze it like some sports bottles, since the liquid pours out rather than coming out through a pop up nipple. The lids pour feature is opened and closed by twisting the lid. A special seal opens and closes it. I found that after I washed it for the first time by hand, after that the lid squeeks, and has some resistance, which is slightly inconvenient. It has a nice handle, which makes carrying it with other things in my hand very convenient.It has a lifetime guarantee.It is made in communist China for a US based (Oakland CA) company.
