Huge waste of time and money

Okay, I'll start at the beginning. I bought it on Revain Prime Day for $20 to upgrade my PC. I replaced my i5-9400f with a brand new i7-10700k so I had to replace the motherboard and processor. Everything was going smoothly until I had to install this CPU cooler. The first thing that struck me is that the box doesn't state that it supports LGA 1200 processors, unlike the listing on Revain. Just a small bug, not a big deal, but the actual guide didn't say anything for LGA 1200 processors like the one I installed. I looked for instructions on the product page and found someone who said you can move the bracket a certain way and it will still work with LGA 1200 processors. After 2 hours of experimenting I was able to adjust the bracket to fit the motherboard. (The instructions for this cooler are completely useless. I ended up asking r/build apc.) I then applied thermal grease to the processor and screwed the heatsink onto the motherboard. However, it felt very loose, so I decided to keep tightening it. It didn't work when I put the computer in portrait mode. It fell squarely on the GPU. When I first booted up the computer, I used temperature checking software to make sure the cooler was working. The processor ran at 1% load at 65 degrees Celsius. After a little fiddling with the cooler, moving it slightly, I lowered its temperature to around 30 degrees at 1% load. It's not terrible, it's just not great. Happy with that, I rotated it vertically and restarted my computer. He worked at a temperature of 94 degrees. I immediately turned off my computer. Then I went to the smarter folks at r/buildapc and they told me my cooler had a bad mount and couldn't be screwed in all the way. Another issue with this cooler is that it is incredibly difficult to attach the fan to the heatsink and I had to cut my fingers twice. This whole process took 8 hours and now I don't have a usable computer. I don't recommend this to anyone. I will be in touch with customer service shortly and let you know if they are doing anything to make up for this loss of time. The only good thing about this cooler is that the RGB lighting looks good. UPDATE: I contacted Revain and they kindly refunded my money spent on the cooler. I'm only 8 o'clock now. Please do not buy this cooler. NEW UPDATE: I got the NZXT KRAKEN Z which was way better. I would try that if you can afford it, it was a lot easier to install and everything worked great.
