Review on πŸ“š IntelliScanner Classic: Revolutionize Book & Movie Organization with a Smart Scanner by Richard Payne

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not what I was hoping for.

As another review says, it's best to only read 5 or 6 books at a time before downloading any information. Out of every 6 books, at least one of my records could not be found, or I received information about a completely different book by a different author. Also, most of my books that were published before 1970 are not searchable by ISBN at all and have to be entered manually. Very few of my classic sci-fi pieces are properly identified. Many of my older books aren't even listed as options, so I still manually edit them to include date, publisher, etc. went back and changed all 472 entries (so far) to list authors' last names first. I've had better luck getting my DVDs scanned properly and don't bother sorting them by director, only by title. My old Excel spreadsheet was easier to use and maintain, but I never added a summary for each book; It's quite an amazing program in that regard. If you only have new books, you'll have better luck.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
