"Daily Sewing" and "Embroidery" are unrealistic expectations of these bobbins. The thread is knotted and twisted unevenly. With a sewing machine, this is a tension catastrophe. Even a 90/14 general purpose needle cannot handle this material, resulting in many thread kinks. His weight seems to be around 30; except for mismatches which are over 20-50 depending on the rotation. This works for medium weight fabric if you find the right spool (not all colors are as bad as others - black is by far the worst). The weight of the thread also seems to depend on the color. At best, I've had luck with thick (non-stretch) mid-weight cotton. The pile is pretty poor and the luster fades quickly if you don't get a scarf that goes well with it in the car.
