This review is for a Hallmark Industries MA0414X-7 Deep Well Submersible Pump, 1HP, 110V. I have this pump in a 20ft well, 4 inch PVC case installed. It's easy to install, although it needs a check valve because its internal check valve doesn't work well. (Without a check valve, the pump runs all the time because the pressure seeps back down the well.) A month later, it's still working great. It charges my hydraulic tank in a tenth of the time it took a 1hp jet pump. Yes, literally 10 times. I bought this particular model because the top part is not cast iron. Seriously, who thinks it's a good idea to add cast iron parts to a submersible pump that's mostly stainless steel?
