There is simply no better anchor. I originally bought Tapcon concrete screws to mount many things in my cinder block garage, including wood shelving. I installed the screws as instructed and they never tightened or felt wobbly so I tried putting some weight on them and they snapped right away! So my search for a stronger fit began and I found these alligator skin anchors. Installed following instructions and they feel like they're about to rip the cinder block out of the wall before they come out. I reinstalled my wood post with them and tightened it just to check. I weigh 170 pounds and it didn't budge at all. Now he's holding 500 pounds of wood with no sign of it moving or buckling in any way. These are the best and I will be a lifetime user for all my anchor needs.
