The fan on my 2007 Prius spun up last year and eventually stopped working altogether. I read online that a simple "slap" on the floor of the glove box would get it working again, which it did. about six months before it stopped working. So I was faced with the question of either paying someone or trying it myself. Not knowing much about mechanics I was considering taking it somewhere until I read online that it could cost between $250-$400 to replace. I looked it up on YouTube and saw a few people making it and wrote down what tools they used and linked to the video that replaced mine and PRESTO. Ready in about 30 minutes. (I could probably make the next one in about 15 minutes)! This fan and motor assembly appears to be in good working order and I've got air, heat and defroster back! I'm very glad I did it myself and chose this product!
