I was so happy to find this $40 part online

After Toyota informed us that our broken air conditioner would cost over $500 to fix, I started searching the internet. I found a video on YouTube. It turned out that our 2008 Prius had a faulty fan assembly. We could tell the vent would get cold or hot, but it wouldn't blow air. Sometimes it turned on and off. I was so lucky to find this $40 part online. Really easy fix if you have the patience and access to YouTube when uninstalling and installing. It would be nice to change the filter.

If you only need it for 10 months, that's great!

I really liked this fan for the first few months but I have to say I hate it after it lasted a year and broke. It's been failing slowly for the past two months and the only way I can start it is to take out the filter and start it manually. Trust me, you won't succeed! It has a lifetime guarantee, but the company won't answer you for you to claim it. In case you need to make a claim, warranty info [.] good luck if you get a reply but I think if more of us try to get in touch something will…

Works great! Back to the cool!

The fan motor stalled while driving a 2006 Toyota Prius Cross Country. We were able to salvage it by reaching through the glove box and twisting it, but of course it's not a perfect solution. This new fan motor fixed it for a long time. It was relatively easy to replace by removing the lower glove box, removing the under cover from the passenger side dash, taking our 2 10mm screws holding the control box and pushing it to the side and removing the five screws, holding the evaporator pan. . The…

So happy I bought and replaced myself!

The fan on my 2007 Prius spun up last year and eventually stopped working altogether. I read online that a simple "slap" on the floor of the glove box would get it working again, which it did. about six months before it stopped working. So I was faced with the question of either paying someone or trying it myself. Not knowing much about mechanics I was considering taking it somewhere until I read online that it could cost between $250-$400 to replace. I looked it up on YouTube and saw a few…

Works well for the price. No questions.

My 2006 Prius fan has failed. Toyota's new one was over $100, so this one was half the price and worth a try. I had previously replaced one with an 06 Vibe and knew I could do it. There are some good videos on You Tube that walk you through the whole process. The design and brackets are OEM and overall this is a good copy. Everything worked fine when plugged in and the motor was quiet. It's been two weeks so far so good. It's tight there. I'm not a big guy and I have the right tools, but it…

Failed 6th February 2016 Delivered 18th September 2015 After reading other reviews I tested this unit outside the car before installing it. I recommend the same to anyone who buys one of these. Other reviewers mentioned squeaks and various harsh noises that they didn't recognize until the device was in place. After an hour of crawling under the dashboard, removing screws with straight screwdrivers, etc., the last thing you need to do is reverse the process to replace the block. Mine seemed to…

Saved me a bajillion dollars!

I bought a used 2008 Prius last summer and about a week later the fan motor started going crazy. The old "hit the dash" method worked, but I knew I'd have to replace it eventually because it's a very common Prius problem, but then it's easy. has stopped. Almost a whole year! I thought maybe I'd get some good karma or do something to please the gods of the Prius. But then, of course, on the first 90+ hot day of the year, he started behaving again. The dashboard didn't work this time, but I put…
