The fan motor stalled while driving a 2006 Toyota Prius Cross Country. We were able to salvage it by reaching through the glove box and twisting it, but of course it's not a perfect solution. This new fan motor fixed it for a long time. It was relatively easy to replace by removing the lower glove box, removing the under cover from the passenger side dash, taking our 2 10mm screws holding the control box and pushing it to the side and removing the five screws, holding the evaporator pan. . The final step was to remove the three 8mm screws holding the old fan in place. Then disconnect the power cable and reinstall the new fan. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish. The new fan started immediately, no problems with it! Looks and works just like I expected! And it costs almost $50 less than others on the market.
