Bought the display on Prime Day at a great price. For something he loved, but for something he couldn't take. At least one of the issues was related to the type of panel used in the monitor and could not be resolved with a replacement unit, so I ended up sending it back. A part of me still regrets the return but I know if I couldn't get a panel that didn't have any of my 3 issues it would drive me crazy and I wouldn't be happy with my purchase. Pros: 144Hz, FreeSync and LFC were great in games. I've never used a high refresh rate display before and from what I've heard it was rock solid even with basic computing. The display is color calibrated for sRGB, with a calibration report in the box, so the colors were very accurate right out of the box. The display was easy to assemble and the stand is definitely an improvement over what you get on cheap monitors. One small feature that most likely doesn't get used or doesn't matter is the headphone jack on the back. The panel is powered via HDMI or DisplayPort. Excellent! Most other displays I've used in the past use a pass-through connector where you connect a 1/8 inch cable from the computer to the display. Combined with inferior amplifiers, this always resulted in poor sound quality with lots of hum. Hiss - which drives me crazy. While the quality isn't amazing, I'd say the headphone jack is quite serviceable. Cons: I ended up sending the monitor back. Only 1 of the problems, I would probably keep it and live with it, but all 3 drove me nuts most of the time. 1440p, 75Hz, VA) I noticed that the text looked washed out. It was like there was a stain on my glasses. Yes, the panel ran at native resolution. Since both panels are 32 inches and have a resolution of 1440p, this wasn't an issue with the pixel pitch. This also had nothing to do with anti-glare - I have a Dell U2412M with a rather heavy anti-glare coating and this monitor still looked sharper Reading a lot of code on my computer and getting blurry text doesn't work for me Based on some other reviews of this and the similar 850F, it appears this is a nameplate of the VA panel they are using, not a "manufacturing defect". Getting images side-by-side, but when you try to take macro shots of a monitor with a camera you only see the pixel structure and I really couldn't tell from the shots which monitor was blurry and which was sharp. 1 inch of the panel had horizontal streaks. Slightly darker lines at the top of the display. This was very noticeable with monochromatic menu bars in apps, making them appear striped when they really aren't. It was also visible in photos and in games, although not as noticeable. Not that I expected the problem to go away, but I've tried different cables and tried connecting the display to a different computer, but the streaks remain. I would suspect that this issue was a manufacturing defect.3. Problems with HDCP1 4 times. I opened Netflix or another application with HDCP, the display went black, then the bar kept flickering for 30-45 seconds before finally realizing what was going on and getting the picture back. I'm not sure if it's a design issue or a one-off defect with this particular display, but I really hope that the HDCP handshake process was something they fixed by 2019. could have something to do with bad gaming with Nvidia 1080Ti + FreeSync / "G-Sync Compatible". I haven't tested this with another computer or graphics card, but to be honest it wasn't a determining factor in returning the display, just an *another* annoyance on top of the other two issues.
