Review on 🧳 Premium Trunk Bike Rack by Ronnie Staver

2012 Toyota Corolla S βœ…

Allen Sport website says this model will not fit Corolla S due to the boot gap on the trunk above the spoiler. I decided to give it a try anyway as the price was very cheap. Here is my conclusion. First, there's a warning on the stand that the two metal hooks you need to attach during assembly are a pinch point. Don't ignore it. I wore a glove when I installed them and had no problems, but I can definitely see how someone could get hurt. Assembly was easy, in fact it was the only step. Secondly, if you put the lower trunk trim on the license plate, and the upper ones on the trunk, the spoiler will be perfectly removed. The metal hooks mentioned above really press against the spoiler and can easily scratch it. I used a piece of styrofoam to separate it and it worked great. Thirdly, many reviews mention hooks that are attached to the sides of the trunk and scratch the paintwork. I used a piece of styrofoam with a sticky side under each hook so there was no problem with the paint. Fourth, an extra bungee comes in handy to keep things that are too loose, like the front wheel, from moving. Create. In general, the purchase is satisfied. The rack is used for one bike but I don't think the second will cause problems with this setup. Again, a great price not to at least try. I'm glad I did.
