The rear wiper blade on my 2008 Toyota Rav4 has probably not been changed since 2011. Now that there are heavy snowstorms in New Jersey, I decided last year to replace my windshield wiper blades. Installation is ridiculously easy and it only takes about a minute to install the wiper blade. My two choices were Valeo or Trico and based on the reviews I chose Trico. Same price Pros* No tools required for rear wiper replacement* Perfect for 2008 Toyota Rav4* Works great in the snow* Leaves no streaks Cons (none yet) Installation process (maximum 1-2 minutes, very easy) Be sure to clean the window with cover with a towel so that the wiper arm does not hit the window. Open the black plastic flap at the end of the wiper arm. Hung on hinges, opening from the left side to the spare wheel. Move the wiper arm away from the window. Rotate the wiper blade perpendicular to the arm assembly and gently pry the mounting bar at the center of the wiper blade out of the slot in the wiper arm. Now that the old wiper blade is removed, let's install the new wiper blade. Hold the wiper blade perpendicular to the wiper arm with the rubber band facing you. Align the mounting plate in the center of the new rear wiper blade with the neck on the end of the arm and carefully insert the mounting plate on the wiper blade into the notch on the wiper arm. Rotate the wiper blade until it is parallel to the wiper arm, lower the wiper blade onto the rear window. Close the black plastic cover. And you did.
