I was hesitant to buy a router bit this cheap. I'm leveling an 8 inch sheet of hardwood to make a coffee table. It worked very well. I cut the slab 2β³ to 6β³ and may have even gone a little thinner. The bit worked very well in my large Bosch router with extension that I bought with the bit. The bit cuts well at nearly 1/4 inch per pass. I wasn't trying to go deep. The finished cut surfaces are absolutely smooth, but must be ground. I expected that. I'm not sure how much better an expensive router is for milling and finishing, but sandpaper is cheap. That's a good deal for a big cutter. I have no idea how long this piece will last, but it still looks great after a few passes through hardwood. .
