Review on HTC Adjustable Mobile Base HTC2000 for Power Tools in Black by Ryan Hampton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Mainly steel but orange plastic cams

Basically it's a good mobile base. It is adjustable to many sizes and is mostly made of steel. I bought it on the recommendation of a friend. One day my friend called me and said that one of the orange plastic cams broke while trying to lift his table saw onto the wheels. We had to make new cams out of 1/2" sheet aluminum by copying the cam's pivot point and surface pattern. HTC just didn't design the cams strong enough. Bandsaw, I don't think my cams are going to break, but I bet mine Walk on it very carefully and sometimes even lift the tool to take the weight off it. I prefer all four wheels to casters for maximum maneuverability. If there are only two rollers, I constantly park the tool "parallel" to get it there, where I need it Four rollers means it moves in any direction The trick is to lock four rollers so the tool is stable in use but it is doable.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than other picks
