Maybe not as good as I thought.

The plastic pedals (or cams) used to raise the wheels on the machine are not of good quality. This tool isn't used often, but the plastic cams may have broken after the fourth use. I called HTC customer service and they sent me replacement cameras in a refurbished metal version. They offered to do it for free, even though the 15-month warranty had expired. Download the warranty document, it only has ONE YEAR warranty. But they still fulfill the guarantee. That's a good sign. So while I am…

I can't believe this ever got a positive review!

A) No assembly instructions included, just a 3" x 3" sketch with a short paragraph next to it B) Fasteners were lying around in the box because the bag was even cheap thin plastic (the Match ones at least) C) One of the two welded tabs attaching the legs to the base became separated from the unit due to a horrific weld when I opened the box. This thing has about the same chance of holding 500 pounds securely as my 13 month old daughter. I almost never buy anything from Revain that makes me feel

Mainly steel but orange plastic cams

Basically it's a good mobile base. It is adjustable to many sizes and is mostly made of steel. I bought it on the recommendation of a friend. One day my friend called me and said that one of the orange plastic cams broke while trying to lift his table saw onto the wheels. We had to make new cams out of 1/2" sheet aluminum by copying the cam's pivot point and surface pattern. HTC just didn't design the cams strong enough. Bandsaw, I don't think my cams are going to break, but I bet mine Walk on…

I really wanted it to work.

Basically I had the same problems that other reviewers write about here. • The tool lift cam is made of plastic. Just look at it and hold it in your hand, it won't take long. Check out the posts where they show this is broken. I'm told you can call the company and get an aluminum part, but the buyer doesn't have to do that to get a solid part. The cam mechanism for raising your tool is made of plastic. Just look at it and hold it in your hand, it won't take long. Check out the posts where they…

Affordable solid mobile base

I used this mobile base along with the extension rail kit to build a mobile table saw stand. My platform is about 33" x 58", which was the maximum size I could make with the expansion kit. I think this is because I made the base out of plywood, cut 1"x2"…

Used for washer and dryer

During the basement renovation, one of the upcoming projects was repainting the concrete floor in the laundry room under the washer and dryer. This meant (of course) moving both instruments first. It's not that difficult, but it made it clear why the previous paint on the floor was so scratched... The metal feet of the washer and dryer were literally scraping the paint off. The reader is probably at a loss: should they be postponed? Not often to be honest...at least once a year so the city…
