Review on 🔌 Efficient & Versatile Clear Y-Fitting: POWERTEC 70228 2-1/2” by Seann Barnes

I prefer to use my portable table saw outdoors, but sometimes the weather isn't favourable. With this attachment I was able to set up a fairly efficient dust collection system with my RIDGID WD1450 shop vacuum. The Y-fitting (2nd pic) gave me noticeably better suction than just running a tee into the 2-1/2" vacuum line by cutting it (1st pic). , which I did until this one Fitting arrived. To get my vacuum hose a snug fit, I used foil on the inside of the fitting to "build up" the inside diameter a bit. Had to do the same with the 1-1/4" fitting on my SawStop guard (there adhesive tape used, no noticeable difference during assembly). The POWERTEC clamps with twist grip are also highly recommended.
