For me, this NAS was an early adopter. When I coupled it with two WD Reds for a total capacity of 3 terabytes, the outcome was really horrible, and there was no way to win: The basic 2 gigabytes of RAM is sufficient to turn around and experiment in full, collect various apps, and even install everything through Docker. A very worthy computer was produced, always ready to service my multimedia and merely hazy hobbies. Concerning the noise, since this was a subject that was extremely important to me, I would answer it as follows: the NAS device itself is very quiet; the volume level is determined mainly by the hard disks. It is almost entirely inaudible with my WD Red, but I turn it off at night to improve the quality of my sleep (this can be easily automated). In general, turning it off is completely optional; however, this is already nitpicking because it is almost completely inaudible with my WD Red.
