Review on Pro Ject Pre Box S2 Digital by Christy Jordan

The Pro Ject Box S2 sound was detailed, clear and articulated across the spectrum. It's maintained its bass composure, but if you want extended bass you'll need a subwoofer. (Good luck figuring out how this would fit in the box.) The highs were accurate, with no harshness or harshness. His sound lacked space and warmth, two traits of classical music. Several reviews of ProJect products mention loose parts, poor assembly, etc. The S2D that I received is solidly built with no loose parts. Unfortunately, my block could not be switched off. Left it on all night and it was still on in the morning. Contacted Sumiko who responded quickly but only replied that he should shut down of his own accord. Despite the good sound and expense, he returned to Revain.
