We needed a little more height to allow the cleaning robot to get under the sofa and also make it easier to mop the floor if needed. I have a split day bed with large round legs that taper to just over an inch at the base. They work for us, but only after I've tweaked them a bit. In order to attach each section of my sofa, I have to move it. We tried removing the pads on the bottom that help stop the movement and placed the piles under the sofa's legs. It didn't go well because when we moved the couch section, it quickly pulled away from the stacks. Therefore, after looking at the shelves and sofa legs, we decided to turn them upside down. So the washer is under the couch's leg holding it in place and the top of the stack is on my floor so we can move the couch along with its counterparts. It worked very well for what we needed. I wish we could just buy 1 extra stack as I have 17 legs on my couch and had to buy 3 sets of 8 to get enough. I recommend them if you need a slightly higher sofa. And if you need them to move, simply remove the spacer or flip them over like we did.
