As you can see in the picture mine was broken out of the box. The glass tube was cracked but not complete. I believed it despite many mixed reviews as I just needed a quick and dirty fix. Unfortunately, I seem to have committed myself to a defective device. To be fair the packaging seems adequate - the tube fitted snugly against the foam sleeve and there was no slack in the box. I'm wondering if this is more of a quality control issue? Anyway, putting it in the water makes me a little wary. I'll probably go with something more expensive but decent. Your choice with a coin toss.
