These were great for me until i purchased actual compression socks that I love. These are better than the open toe version as those tend to roll at the toe and dig into your foot. The compression on these has worked well for me working in healthcare and being on my feet 10+hours a day. I've noticed my legs and feet are less sore than without them and the sock holds up high to the knee like in the picture. That being said, a complaint i have is that these can roll slightly behind the knee or if they sit in one spot too long without adjusting they dig into the back of my calf/knee. I have average to smaller size legs so a heavy person might have trouble with these. I ordered a medium. I also had to wear socks with these since my feet sweat during the day sometimes. These stockings are well made and have held up over months of everyday wear. You may need to wash them after each wear. That has been the case for me. I wash by hand in the sink to ensure they last longer and I DONT put them in the dryer ever. I like these for super long days at work but I've started to switch over to actual compression socks as I prefer them more. One more dislike. I don't know if its just my legs or what the deal is but one of the stockings seems to be a little longer than the other. One will regularly reach slightly above my knee while the other sits just below like in the picture.
