You're guaranteed to get your money's worth with this sink. My wife has been complaining about our double sided sink for years and I've finally decided to do something about it. We originally wanted a farmhouse sink, but realized it would probably be a lot more expensive than we thought. This requires cutting out the granite front and possibly adjusting the cabinet. I called and the guy from the original furniture company came out to make me an offer. He seemed a little nervous about damaging the granite countertops and cabinets in order to put in a new sink. I was still waiting for the offer. Three weeks and I still haven't heard from him so I decided to put it on MYSELF. Like I said, the old sink was a reversible (Elkay brand) that cost over a thousand dollars at current prices (I have no idea why and can't believe our builder made us spend that much money on it). This sink is PERFECT. It's deep and wide, and we're completely satisfied. It also has a beautiful mirrored satin finish like many very expensive sinks. It took a little time to install the epoxy clamps, rip out the old sink, and rearrange the plumbing, but I'm glad I did it myself. I probably easily saved $500-$1000 on the install. Before deciding on this sink, I read a lot of reviews. I've seen a lot of people complain that it scratches easily, so I took extra care when installing it. I have a stand and it works perfectly. If I can prevent scratches, I will, but the truth is, EVERY stainless steel sink scratches. In the end, all the scratches eventually merge together and become more inconspicuous. Don't think that you can spend $1,000 on another sink and it won't scratch easily, it doesn't. Anyway, with the stand I was worried about food getting stuck under the counter and difficult to clean, but that's not the case. You just use a sprayer on the faucet (I hope you have one) and the food will wash right out of there (use a trivet and you won't get scratched). The sink was well packaged, it came with extra things even clamps to fix it. The most interesting thing is that these clamps require drilling granite and using anchors. I didn't go that route. I bought Revain EZ clips and used PC-7 epoxy to secure them. I had 3 clips on each side and 4 on the back (10 clips included). I didn't use anything for the front as there were already wooden slats from the previous sink that I used to hold the front in place. There are no complaints and I know that this sink will receive additional maintenance. PC-7 is great and when it dries after 24 hours it will be like cement and won't come loose. It turned out that the part of the bracket or clamp bolt that Kraus supplied with this sink worked better than the bolt on the EZ Clamps, so I just used the EZ Clamp mounting base and Kraus bolts from their clamps to hold the sink. I highly recommend this sink! You save a lot of money and it is excellent quality. It's not cheap, it's very heavy, and it's made of 16GA stainless steel. No worse than any $1,000 car wash. Couldn't be happier. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you decide to get this sink yourself. I'm writing this review because I think the reviews really helped me with my purchase decision and I want to help you! I wanted to provide an update, it's been 1 month now since I installed this stock and I love it and I haven't got a single scratch YET. I find that to clean I just pull out the rack and use a sponge. All you have to do is put some soap on the floor and wipe it clean with a sponge. If you wash your food every time you wash the dishes it doesn't get dirty in the first place but I will do it every 3 or 4 days and it works great. The kickstand works great too, I really like it (make sure you use it). However, there is one thing I changed that had nothing to do with the sink itself. I replaced the baffle (rubber drain) with the reservoir I have. This clogged the sink a bit and you had to get your hand with a sponge and force food particles through the baffle to get it to drain properly (whoever designed that baffle in the insinkerator should be fired). I quickly searched Revain for a new baffle that would work better and found one. Now everything is PERFECT, the sink drains like a sucker. Here is the baffle I received (search it on Revain and you will find it): InSinkErator RSB-00 08302D Detachable Baffle, Iron. If you see other people here complaining about the sink not draining properly, it's probably because they also have a combustion baffle and need to replace it. Now I like everything. Update 1/6/20 – This car wash impresses me EVEN MORE. Almost a year has passed since installation. I've washed dishes in it many times (hundreds of times) and I still haven't got a single scratch. However, I also try not to hit the dishes against the wall when I put them in, which is easy because they are so big. It looks just as good as the day I installed it. If you don't want to get scratched, just use the stand and pull out the stand every 3-4 days and use a sponge with some dish soap. Do this and you will not get scratches. The only area with very light wear is where the basket's legs make contact with the sink, but regardless, you still won't see these marks once the basket is in place. The basket serves a great purpose when washing groceries without dishes. Food waste ends up under the grid, so that when the dishes are put down during washing, the food that has already been removed remains on them. When you're done washing up, simply flush the leftovers down the drain. Update February 2021 - The sink STILL looks as good as the day I installed it. Still no scratches, just light abrasions where the countertop legs touch the bottom of the sink, but never mind as you'll never see this on a countertop anyway.
