Review on LG 34UM69G-B UltraWide Monitor: 34-Inch 2560X1080P, 75Hz, HD, Reduction by Richard Hampton

Affordable widescreen with USB-C

I bought this monitor for our second home office. It turns out that both my husband and I need jobs at home. We bought a lovely ultrawide monitor on BlackFriday and as someone who works a lot with spreadsheets etc I fell in love with it. So I went in search of a second one and found it at a very affordable price of $300.99. This monitor does everything I need. I love that it has a USB-C port so I can just use a USB-C cable to connect it directly to my 2018 MacBook Pro (which has 4 USB-C ports) without losing any data lose. Please note that you need to ensure that the USB-C cable you are using is suitable for data transfer (some are only for charging). I mainly use this display for writing, research, programming, data validation and it's great for all of those things. Good brightness level and no weird pixelation. I don't watch movies or play video games on it, but I expect it's good for both. The only feature my other monitor doesn't have is the ability to display an image from multiple inputs at the same time. It's not necessary, but from time to time I want my Macbook Pro and iPad to show up at the same time. This monitor cannot do that. The sound is actually surprisingly decent when Maxx Audio is on. I'm pretty picky about tweeters and almost never use speakers that are built into computers or monitors. Even though I don't use speakers regularly, it doesn't hurt when I do. The stand isn't adjustable at all and frankly makes me a little nervous, but after a month of use everything seems fine. I will most likely carry it on my arm and wall as it is VESA compatible and it will make me less nervous when my cats climb on the table and play around with it.
