Not my best purchase, you could have found something else.

The camera is interesting as the first affordable HD model. It is clear that matrices and chips for processing FullHD video have appeared on the market, and soon there will be more cameras in this resolution .
To this, in other matters, as well as to all webcams, the rule "the resolution declared by marketers must be divided by 2" must be applied.
It turns out 640x360, the camera gives this resolution quite clearly.
The optics are not bad, but no more.
Liked the design and fit. Clearly nothing more.

Pros

Price/matrix resolution. Interesting video effects in real time.

Cons

All resolutions from 160x120 to 1280x720 work through the demo program. Much less is available in applications, and there are problems with 4:3 16:9 aspect ratio, pictures and quality, obviously Microsoft did not comply with their own VFW (VideoForWindows) standard. As a result, it is necessary to check applications for compatibility with this device. Another drawback is the driver, a program is installed that downloads the rest of the driver via the Internet, and the program does not understand the necessary direct connection to the Internet. It downloads a lot of about 40 megabytes.
