Bought "just in case" because I have 2 large dogs and a cat. and pets, messes happen: tail-wagging drink spills, accidents, indigestion, and the occasional swimming dog escaping a towel. It has NO plastic or diaper noise at all. Doesn't sleep well at all. In fact, if someone put it on without my knowledge, I would have no idea it was there. Sleeping is as comfortable as ever, but now I'm confident that wet incidents won't result in the need to use carpet cleaner on my mattress. Plus, it's said to help block allergens and dust, which is just an added bonus. It washed up great before putting it on in cold water and tumble dry on very low heat.
